It wasn't all about the socks...

last week.

There was much sewing together of lots and lots of little squares to make big squares - all of 8" unfinished.

These were then sewn with the framed blocks to make a quilt top, which is now just resting waiting for my next sewing marathon - stuck on making backing at the moment.

Friday there was socialising and shopping of the non craft materials kind and after playing with my new 'toy' for a big portion of the weekend I decided to make it a cosy cover to protect it while we're travelling later this week.

These were the fabrics I picked from the stash to choose from.

I really needed to get this done today as I am busy out of the house all day tomorrow, including dinner out with friends.
My intention was to use more than one fabric to add a little interest.

After a text consultation with J's mum the purple and green from the above selection won. They were joined by orange dots to make this stripey piece.

All done a new home for my new Sony Tablet, which may become my best friend or my best excuse for not achieving anything else.

Hope your week is warm.

Silly me thought your scrap quilt was in a separate post lol. I love it too. You could also use scrap on the back too like a strip of your blocks on the front off centred of course with a plain either side or just do 8" squares. Then it tones in and you get a second quilt all in one.

You're going to love the tablet. My Ipad is pretty much permanently stuck to my hand. And your tablet is going to love the warm cozy cover.

Wow -you dont much around when you decide to make a quilt. It looks scrappily fantastic!
